Creative ops never used to be seen as important, the idea that creativity could be built around a system or process was not commonly recognised and so creative operations hasn’t always been given the attention it deserves. In the last five 12 years Creative Operations have come to the forefront of business operations, from merely 50 creative operations roles live on linked in in 2010 to over 9,000 in 2022 I have worked alongside this trend my entire career and I’m going to tell you exactly what Creative Operations is.

First off, let’s dispel a few rumours. Creative Operations isn’t new creative systems around problem solving, it isn’t simply speed and efficiency of getting out creative deliverables, it’s not making sure you’re squeezing the most out of your creatives and there is no reason why any business can’t build out ops to inspire creativity.

What creative ops actually is is building systems, frameworks and environments that enhance your output and increase your ability to demonstrate your stories and messaging across all aspects of your building. Creative Operations is multi faceted,
